How does the stove fan work?

The base of the fan absorbs heat from the stove top.

A thermoelectric module converts the heat difference into electrical power, which drives the fan blades. As the stove temperature rises, the fan normally begins to turn faster. As the stove cools, the fan slows and stops automatically.

The fan helps move warm air horizontally into the room instead of allowing all the heat to rise directly above the stove.

Positioning the fan

Place the fan on a flat and stable area of the stove top.

It is normally best positioned towards the rear or side of the stove, where it can draw cooler air across the heat sink and direct warm air into the room.

Do not place the fan directly in front of the flue pipe or on the hottest part of the stove unless the manufacturer’s instructions specifically permit this.

Ensure that there is sufficient space around the blades for them to rotate safely.
